DIRECTIONS |
From Seligman,
drop off I40 at exit 121 and head west on Route 66 about 23 miles.
Round about then you'll see a signpost on the south side indicating
"Yampai BNSF", where you'll turn onto a marginally paved
road that leads off to the south. Around 3 miles later, you'll climb
up to the top of the Yampai Divide where you'll also find the tracks.
Yampai CP is just about 0.2 miles west of the unpaved crossing.

COMMENTS |
You are pretty
far from real civilization, so be very well prepared out here. During
the winter, it is very cold and snowstorms are not uncommon as you're
nearly 6000' up.
