DIRECTIONS |
Get off I40
at Arizona exit 13. North side of the freeway is a dirt road that
leads north toward the tracks (visible about 0.6 miles north). Immediately
before the tracks the road forks. Go west on this road about 1 mile
to the control point. This road is not passable by 2WD vehicle due
to the very sandy, silty wash. During rainy weather, the wash is
plain dangerous.

COMMENTS |
The dirt road
out to the control point is not heavily trafficked. While it's less
than two miles back to the interstate, be sure to bring water, a
spare tire, tools, hat, etc. During the summer the hike can be lethal
if you're not prepared.
